Strive bitcoin purchase of $335m lifts holdings as BTC holds near $82,000
A $335 million Strive bitcoin purchase has pushed the firm’s holdings to 36,818 BTC, according to CoinDesk and Cointelegraph. Corporate buyers kept adding even as the price stalled.
Bitcoin traded at about $82,036 on Monday evening, per CoinDesk. The page showed a 24-hour gain of 0.38 percent and trading volume of $12.27 billion. Its sources differ slightly on the exact daily move.
Corporate buyers stay active
Metaplanet announced a deal to take a 93.7 percent stake in Super League through 2,100 BTC, the reports said. Details were thin at publication. Strategy reportedly bought $22 million of bitcoin and repurchased $193 million of its STRC stock.
A holder also moved $34 million in bitcoin acquired in 2013, CoinDesk noted. Such moves draw attention but do not by themselves signal a sale.
Resistance near $83,000
Bitcoin was rejected near $83,000 as US bond yields rose. It moved with equities after the Nasdaq rebounded more than 1 percent. It also lagged the broader CoinDesk 20 index, which gained 2.17 percent in the same period.
That pattern matches last week. We covered the ETF outflows that stalled the price near $82,000. The new development is the size of treasury buying.
What to watch
Traders will watch bond yields and equity direction. Corporate buying can support demand, but it relies on funding that can tighten. Treasury firms also carry debt and stock-market risk.

This article is for information only and is not investment advice. Cryptocurrency prices are volatile and you can lose money.
Treasury companies buy bitcoin with cash, debt or newly issued shares. That makes their demand sensitive to stock prices and borrowing costs. When their shares fall, purchases can slow. When shares rise, buying can accelerate. Investors should read each company’s filings rather than headlines alone.
