Free Thought Daily (FTD) is an independent digital news and commentary publication based in London. We report UK and world news alongside science, technology, culture and ideas — with a distinctive focus on free expression, humanism, secularism and the voices of people who question religious authority.

Our purpose is simple: to report the stories that matter clearly and honestly, and to give room to perspectives that mainstream coverage too often leaves out. We believe good journalism should encourage curiosity, challenge received ideas and respect the reader’s ability to decide what is true.
